Ellis - Robert F. Bieker, 66, Ellis, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at Hays Medical Center. Mr. Bieker was born June 15, 1934, at Ellis and had lived in Omaha, Neb.

He was an oilfield worker, a truck driver and an Air Force veteran.

Survivors include three sons, Allan and Terry, both of Omaha, and Doug of Randolph, Iowa; a daughter, Glenda Green of Council Bluffs; his mother, Barbara of Hays; a brother, Donald of Topeka; four sisters, Mary Goetz of Salina, Viola Billinger and Lillian Bieker, both of Hays, and Marlaine Gottschalk of Schoenchen; and four grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church Gymnasium, Ellis, the Rev. Joe Sheetz officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ellis. A rosary and wake will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Wasinger Funeral Home, 400 E. 17th, Ellis 67637. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
