The daughter of the late Columbus Beeson Bennett and the late Frances Kelly Bennett, she was born in Itawamba County. She was retired from Mississippi State Hospital and was a member of Houlka First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband,Thomas Howard Smith of Houlka; one sister, Annie Sue Turman of Houston and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Matt Bennett, Lonnie Reedy, Travis Barnett, Sonny Spencer, Douglas Bennett and Stanley Tutor.
Houston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
