Everett Loy Montgomery of Flat River was born Dec. 10, 1888, in Yount, MO, the son of the late Joshua and Sarah Catherine Hahn Montgomery, and died at his home in Flat River on July 17 at the age of 79 years.

Surviving is his wife: Edith Moran Montgomery; five children; Clyde of St. Louis, Lorene (Mrs. Emile) Brockmiller of Beaver, PA, Thelma (Mrs. Oren) McCord of Flat River, Alpha (Mrs. Willard) Moore of Flat River, and James Lee of Flat River.

Two sons, Charles and Edward preceded him in death.

Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one brother, Harvey of Kansas City, KS; four sisters; Mrs. Emma Dalton of Desloge, Mrs. Iva McFarland of Ecorse, MI, Mrs. Effie Whitehead of Flat River, and Mrs. Maude Gallagher of Flat River; several nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, John and William, and three sisters, Eva, Sophia, and Alice also preceded him in death.

Funeral services were conducted at the Caldwell Chapel Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Tom Malone officiating.

Interment was at Woodlawn under the direction of the Caldwell Funeral Service.
