She was born Sept. 7, 1915, in Caldwell County to the late John Dula and the late Bessie Powell Dula Abernathy.
Mrs. Jones was a member of St. Paul AME Church where she was a member of the Stewardess Board and a member of the Missionary. She was a retired nurse from Dula Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Houston Jones; sisters, Olivia Patterson, Annie Patterson, Mary Alma Dixon; and daughters, Emma Jean Cannon and Frances Mitchell.
Survivors include a son, Edward Jones (Monnie) of Blanch, N.C.; seven grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Burial will be at Belleview Cemetery.
