CORNELL-----Almira Darling was born in Canandaigua. New York, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. David Taylor, in Johnson county, Neb., aged 90 years, 5 months and 8 days, In 1827 she was married to Joseph Cornell. They moved to Ohio in 1830,where she united with the M. E. church at Perrysburg. In 1852 they removed from Ohio to Iowa. In 1853 her husband and three children died. In 1876 she removed to Nebraska. Her son, a man 65 years of age, died at Tecumseh one year ago last December. She leaves two daughters to mourn her loss, Mrs. Julia Minkler of Steele city and Mrs. David Taylor of this place. She cherished an enduring faith in the Heavenly Father and was ready and willing to go at any time that He would see fit to call her home. She was a devoted mother and always showed great interest in the welfare of her children and her many friends. The people of Crab Orchard and vicinity extend sympathy to the bereaved ones.
