Mrs. Nettie Hayes Turner, 80 of Stallings Road, Rt. 5, Taylors, SC, widow of Odell Turner, died Monday, July 21, 1986 at her residence. A native of Pickens County, SC, she was born July 31, 1905 and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Willbanks Hayes. She had lived in Greenville County for many years and was associated with Stone Manufacturing Company before her retirement. Mrs. Turner was a member of Fair Heights Baptist Church. Her husband, Odell Turner, predeceased her September 25, 1961, and two sons, also predeceased her, Odell Turner, Jr. August 6, 1972 and Robert lee Turner, February 27, 1978. Surviving are two daughters Mrs. W. Perry (Florence) Loftis of Albany, NY and Mrs. Charles (Helen) Hammond of Greenville; a son James R. Turner of Taylors, SC; a brother, Eugene Hayes of Dacusville; fifteen grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Chapel of the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home by Rev. C. B. Rollins, Rev. L. T. Hayes and Rev. R. B. Hayes. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family is at the residence.
