Willie D. Brown, 80, of Dexter, died Monday, October 9, 2006, at 11:10 pm at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
He was a member of the Dexter Baptist Church and the Hardin Masonic Lodge. He was a retired carpenter and a World War II US Army veteran.
Survivors include his son Freddy (Judy) Brown of Gainesville, FL; five daughters, Karan (Jim) Hart of Mesa, AZ, Beverly (Jim) Coates of Hardin, Millie (Eddie) Dillon of Dexter, Jackie (Tim) Bailey of Murray and Gracie of Show Low, AZ; sister, Ada Baker of Mayfield; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maglene (Higgins) Brown; parents Levi Henry and Gracie (Litchfield) Brown; son, Dennis Brown; sister, Gladys Nichols; and three brothers, Henry Clay Brown, Dick Brown and Robert Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home in Murray. Burial will follow at Matheny Cemetery in LBL.
Visitation will be from 5-9 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
