Diana Bartlett Burke, 84, of south Kansas City, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Carondelet Manor. Diana was born March 22, 1923 in Kansas City, MO and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Central High School in 1940. She was employed at Home Savings Association for a total of 28 years as an Executive Secretary and payroll administrator. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert E. and Matilda Bartlett; her husband, William M. Burke; her brother, Harold E. Bartlett; and her sister, Marjorie Moad. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Sydney Burke of Shawnee, KS; grandson, Adam Burke; her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Phyllis Bartlett; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Maxine and Robert Pendleton; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Diana was an active member of John Knox Kirk Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women and the Sack Lunch Bunch. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Chapel, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at John Knox Kirk Presbyterian Church, 11430 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO.
