Mr. Wilson Copeland, Sr of Lower Tonk Valley died last Friday. Mr. Copeland or "Uncle Wils," as we all called him was in many respects a most remarkable man. He was one of the early settlers of Parker County and moved to Young County over 20 years ago. He was a hard worker and in the course of his long life accumulated quite an independent torture. Like all men, he had his faults, but he was a kind neighbor, an honest citizen, and one who was ever ready to help the poor and needy. He will be greatly missed in his community.
