Lynn R. Phelps, 87, of 4827 Route 80,Tully,died Sunday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was born in Vesper and was a retired contract builder. He was a member and trustee of St. Patrick's Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Tully Legion and Vesper Fire Department. He was a former assessor for the town of Tully and highway superintendent. Survivors: His wife of 62 years, the former Cecile Aungier; a daughter, Karen Wortley of Tully; two sisters, Virginia Crosley of Sarasota, Fla., and Eleanor Hartsch of Camillus; a brother, Donald of Sarasota, Fla.; five grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick's Church, Otisco. Spring burial, St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours, 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hartwell Funeral Home, 11 Clinton St., Tully.
