GALVESTON — A La Marque man was indicted Tuesday in connection with the killing of Felicia Scott, 32, of Webster.
A grand jury indicted Bobby Lee Jones, 43, on a murder charge and two counts of attempted aggravated assault. He remains in jail on $375,000 bond.
Police allege Jones followed Scott from a nightclub then shot her at least three times early Monday morning. The two had dated, but their relationship had ended several months ago, said Lt. D.J. Alvarez of the Galveston Police Department.
Scott left Club D'Elegance, 2918 Ave. R1/2, with an acquaintance and Jones followed them, Alvarez said.
At 35th Street and Avenue H, Jones rammed the car, causing it to crash, then opened fire, Alvarez said.
One of the bullets pierced Scott's neck, said Joel Bennett, first assistant district attorney.
Scott, who was found lying in the street about 1:50 a.m., was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others in the car were unharmed, Alvarez said.

Felicia was my daughter, Shantia Carmouche's friend. They used to work together. I know she will be missed by many, especially the 3 children she leaves behind.
