Born when her mother was almost 45, Jane was the youngest of the 13 children of Andrew A. and Alida "Olive" (VAN DER COOK) Weatherwax of the Town of Schagticoke, Rensselaer Co., NY and West Glenville, Town of Glenville, Schenectady Co., NY. She was named for an elder sister, Jane "Jinny" Weatherwax (1798-1818, Mrs. Frederick CIPPERLY), who lay dying at the time of her birth. Jane married Martin J. ARNOLD 20 February, 1840 in New York. Martin and Jane had two known children: George S. Arnold (1844-1906, married Margaret LOWN, four children) and Frances E. Arnold (1847-1923, married 1. Newton WYMAN, two children, married 2. George C. DULMAGE, two children).

Jane Weatherwax Arnold was my great great grandfather's only younger sibling. I have searched for her for over 20 years and am thrilled to have FINALLY found her!
