James Henry Avery, 76, of Tiptonville, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007 at his residence.
He was an employee of Tiptonville Police Department and an Army veteran.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at St. John No. 2 Baptist Church in Tiptonville. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery in Tiptonville. H.H. Hudson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie Avery of Tiptonville; seven daughters, Linda Clay, Veronica Candey, Michelle Avery, all of Tiptonville, Wanda Avery and Pattie Avery Scates, both of Union City and Tammy Hubber and Brendell Avery, both of Dyersburg; and four sons, Charles Fisher, Robert Avery, Bryant Avery and Kevin Avery, all of Tiptonville.
