Bess Courtney
Bess S. Courtney of Claremont died at the age of 100 in a local covalescent hospital on Tuesday.
Mrs. Courtney was born in Maryville, Missouri on June 25, 1882. She moved from Chicago, Illinois to Claremont in 1964. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Pomona.
Mrs. Courtney is survived by 2 daughters, Katherine Wyatt of Claremont and Ellen Brand of Riverside. She leaves 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. (Sunday) at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Pomona and were followed by a private burial.
