He was born Aug. 8, 1912, in Greenview, the son of John Herman and Emma Amerkamp Evers.
He married Dorothy D. Bullington in 1937 in Greenview.
Mr. Evers was a grain and livestock producer in Greenview, retiring in the 1970s, and a member of Greenview United Church.
He was a senior active member of the Greenview Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary. He was president and trustee of the Greenview Fire Protection District for 50 years.
Survivors: wife, Dorothy D.; a son, John Lewis Evers of Greenview; two daughters, Norma Jean (husband, Reggie) Dowell of Greenview and Georgia Ann (husband, Louie) Leinberger of Petersburg; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth McAtee of Greenview; and a brother, Lawrence (wife, Darlene) Evers of Greenview.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Greenview United Church, the Rev. Robert Hanson officiating. Burial: Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview.
