LINDALE -- Services for Mabel T. Childers, 86, of Lindale will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenville's Coker Mathews Funeral Home with the Rev. Woodrow Copeland officiating. Burial will be in Hunt County's Clinton Cemetery.
Mrs. Childers died Wednesday. Born Jan. 6, 1905, in Hunt County, she married William Robert Childers on June 14, 1923, in Hunt County. She was a Baptist and preceded in death by her husband in 1978 and son D J. in 1982.
Survivors include sons, Robert E. of Lindale and Elvis of Dora, Ala.; daughters, Viola Jarvis of Princeton, Betty Ray of Dallas, Dorothy Kenyon of Kilgore and Evelyn Steele of Longview; brother, Otha Dale of Commerce; sister, Nora Beadles of Greenville; 26 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
