Bobby W. McQueen's home going will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2005 in Alpine First Baptist Church with Reverends Sammy Morrow and Charles Hutzler officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Brothers.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Richey, Gary Foster, Faylon Richey, D. K. Murphy, Marvin Mott, Luther Sutton and Rodney Cotton. Honorary pallbearers will be Piney Wood Chapter Good Sams Club.

Mr. McQueen, 74, of Pineville died Sunday, November 06, 2005 in Health South Hospital, Alexandria.

He was a member and deacon of Alpine First Baptist Church. Mr. McQueen retired from the State Highway Department after 34 years of service. His hobbies were camping and traveling, he and his wife visited all 50 states, all of Canada, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Mexico and Jamaica and Honduras. During his travels he worked on 6 churches. He was an Air Force veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

Preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Nola Nash McQueen; parents-in-law, James and Carrie Strickland.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 54 years, Lucille Strickland McQueen of Pineville; son, Gary McQueen of Pollock; daughter, Karen Juneau and husband, Ronald 'Bubba' of Ball; brother, Jack McQueen of Baton Rouge, LA; sister, Jimmie Brown of Tioga; special great niece and nephew, Tyler and Laura Jusselin.

Friends may call Monday at Alpine Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and nurses aids at Rapides Medical Center for taking such good care of us during Bobby's Illness.
