James Wilbert Landers, 84, a resident of Geneva for many years, died at 1:30 p.m. at the Adams County Memorial Hospital where he had been taken a few days before.
Mr. Landers was born in Jay County, the son of Henry and Martha Pearl Landers.
Until his retirement, Mr. Landers had been employed for many years as a crossing watchmen for the Pennsylvania Rail Road Co., and was well known to local citizens.
Surviving are his wife, Wilda Cook Landers; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys McCurdy, Mrs. Romaine Odle, both of Portland, and Mrs. Rozella Lykins, Dunkirk; one son James, Portland; 12 grandchildren, and a brother Isaac Landers.
Funeral Services were held at the Hardy & Hardy Funeral Home in Geneva at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. William Franklin, Dunkirk, officiating. Burial was at Limberlost Cemetery, east of Bryant.
