Ortha Pounds Long, 91, died Saturday, January 11, 2003, at the Landmark Community in Booneville, Miss.
Services were held at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Hankins and Dr. Lynn Jones officiating.
Burial was in Booneville Cemetery.
She was the retired owner of The Dress Shop in Booneville which she established in 1946.
She was an active Member of the First United Methodist Church, a Charter Member of the Booneville Pilot Club and a Member of the Booneville Women's Club.
Survivors include a Son, Dr. James Stanley Long and Wife, Carolyn, of Booneville; 2 Sisters, Marie Gullett of Booneville and Betty Crawford of Jacksonville, FL; a Brother, Dr. Billy Pounds of Booneville; 3 Grandchildren, Cliff Long and Wife, Gerry; Julie Cothren and Husband, Jay; and Susan Cristo and Husband, Mike; 6 Grandchildren, Lindsey, James and Abby Long, Corbin Cothren and Megan and Drew Cristo.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Clifford H. Long; her Parents, Seth Pounds and Warnie Wroten Pounds; a Sister, Opha Pounds White; and 4 Brothers, Thad Pounds, Oswald Pounds, Theron Pounds and Kenneth Pounds.
Her Nephews will serve as Pallbearers.
