Benjamin R. Fleming was born January 1, 1862, in Marion county, Iowa. He came to Jackson county, Kansas, in 1902 with his children and settled on a farm.
Recently returning from Rock Islald, Ill., he became ill and passed away October 16, 1936.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Dahila Hinton, of Dubois, Neb.; Maude Thompson, a daughter, residing on a farm north of Delia; and Mr. Frank Fleming, a son, living in Rock Island, Ill.; and one grandson Donald Thommpson.
Funeral services were conducted in the Adrian church with Rev. Bruce W. Davis, Presbyterian minister, officiating. Interment was made in the adjacaent cemetery on Sunday, October 18. Out of town survivors were present.
