Funeral Services for Mary Elizabeth Barlow will be on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Antioch Baptist Church (4088 Antioch Road) in Hazlehurst, MS at Brookhaven at 3:00 PM with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Bro. Lance Moak will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Antioch Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
Ms. Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Barlow of Hazlehurst, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born on December 7, 1928 to F. L. Bland Barlow and Hugh Quintus Barlow. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She worked as a tool and dye maker for 32 years at Delphi Packard in Clinton, MS. Liz enjoyed dancing, crocheting, playing bingo, and most importantly- spending time with her great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Jasper Daniel Barlow; sons, Jasper Daniel Barlow, Jr. and James Jasper “Jimmy” Barlow; and sisters, Emma Mae Holder, Nellie Cline and Helen Munn.
Survivors are her children, Frances Barlow Summerall and Cynthia Louise Cotten (Tony); son-in-law Dan M. (Danny) Cotten; grandchildren, Patrick Joseph “Joey” Sheppard, Jr. (Carrie), Melissa Frances Sheppard, Patrick Daryl Sheppard, James Richard “Jae” Cotten, Jr. (Brooke), Kayla Dufene (Scott), and Toni Bellais (Josh); great-grandchildren, Raiven Whittington (Blake), Chelsea Oswalt (Colby), Coy Sheppard (Tori), Alexis Roberts (Taylor), Tripp Sheppard, Riley Cohen, Zachary Coleman, Ryleigh Sheppard, Tate Sheppard, Taylor Sheppard, Serenity Nevels, Genesis Dufene, Arabella Dufene, Kendalynn Bellais, Marina Bellais, Braxton Bellais and Haven Bellais; great-great grandchildren Aiden Whittington, Addisyn Coleman, Grayland Oswalt, Avery Whittington, Rowan Oswalt, Leegan Sheppard, Ainslee Roberts, Madalynn and Mackenzie Roberts, and Paxton Sheppard; and aunt Eva Barlow Norton (Ronnie).
