Ella Pearl Scott married Henry Leonard Hobbs August 13, 1915. Ella was the mother of Cecil, Henry Roland "Bud Hobbs, Mary Alberta and George Eugene (Jack) Hobbs. She died at the age of 30 from pneumonia in Butte Co. Women's Infirmary in Oroville, Butte Co, Calif. June 11, 1928 four months after giving birth to her last child George (Jack) Hobbs. After searching for 11 years for her death info I finally found it online thanks to Sutter Yuba Genealogical Society. According to Gridley Block Funeral Home, there is no gravestone marking her burial site.
Ella's parents were John Thomas Scott 10/27/1871 CA, and Pearl Davis 1874 Indiana. Pearl Davis Scott died May 18, 1900 when Ella was about 2 years old. Ella then lived with her paternal grandparents John Cowhick Scott and Ella Elizabeth Cook Scott in Santa Maria, Santa Barbara Co.,CA. Both grandparents died January 1901 from typhoid pneumonia. I'm not sure what happened to Ella Pearl after the death of her grandparents or before she married my grandfather Henry Leonard Hobbs in 1915, they were my mother, Mary Alberta Hobbs Meadows, parents.
