Son of John Fisher (b. Dedham July 20, 1656)) & Rebecca (Ellis) Fisher (b. April 30, 1661). John Fisher was born in Dedham(now Needham). He married Elizabeth Hunting of Dedham on April 28, 1709. He was one of the incorporators of Needham. He taught school in 1714; was selectman from 1732 to 1750; representative to the General Court from 1735 to 1751; besides holding the offices of town clerk and treasurer. He was also a Justice of the Peace. John and Elizabeth lived in Needham and they had 8 children.
