James R. Kellems, 50, of Battletown, died Monday, Jan. 20, of an apparent heart attack near Battletown.
Born Jan. 6, 1942 in Meade Co. he was the son of Dorothy Vandiver Kellems and the late Alexander Kellems .
He was employed by Olin Corp. in Brandenburg and attended the Macedonia Christian Church, Battletown.
He leaves his wife, Sherron Hartley Kellems of Battletown, a daughter Lisa Kellems of the home; a son, James Ray Kellems Jr. of the home, his mother, Dorothy Kellems of Battletown, a sister Betty Mae Southerland of IN.; two nephews Eddie and Andy Bennett, both of Brandenburg.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. EST Thur. Jan. 23, from Macedonia Christian Chuirch, Battletown, with the Rev. Dale Meings officiating. Burial was in Parr Cemetery near Wolf Creek, directed by Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington. (Meade Co Messenger)
