Feb. 10, 1697/8: Six acres of land on Horse Hill was laid out for Francis French.
March 13, 1699: He was granted ten acres of land on Sentinel Hill and was chosen a "fence viewer".
Sept. 10, 1701: He sells part of his land on Sentinel Hill to Samuel Bowers, son of my ancestor, REV. JOHN BOWERS.
Feb. 1, 1701/2: Francis French & his mother, LYDIA FRENCH, relict of "francis ffrench",deceased, appear before a court to transfer land belonging to Francis Sr. & his wife, Lydia, purchased by Mr. Alexander Bryan of Milford, deceased, Sybil Bryan, his wife.
September 2, 1703: ANNA BOWERS, daughter of REV. JOHN BOWERS and his wife, REBECCA (GREGSON) BOWERS, and FRANCIS FRENCH (JR) are joined in Holy Matrimony.
Dec. 12, 1704: Chosen one of four "towns men" at a general meeting for the year ensuing.
April, 1704: 12 acres of land are laid out for Francis French.
Dec. 31, 1706: Abell Gun purchases land in Derby from Frances French, who signed his name on deeds with his mark X.
