Louie Clinton Vardeman, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, went to be with Lord surrounded by his family on Friday, August 30. 2002. He was born on March 15, 1916, the son of Eula Ole (Blount) and Charles Clinton Vardeman. Louie's father, Charles, passed away when he wasn't quite three years old.

He served his country during WW II in the European Theater.

He is survived by: his wife of 62 years, Ruby Jewel (Blakley); daughters, Janice Whittaker and husband, Bruce, of Sandia Park; and Sandra Lacy of Albuquerque; grandchildren:, Greg Whittaker, Arthur C. Manring, and wife, Maureen; Renee Manring-Day, and husband, Neal; and Gaye Lowe and husband, Rob; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mamie Vickery of Hubbard, TX.
