Virginia "Ginger" Jahnke passed away on May 28, 2008, one day short of her 83rd birthday, at Sunrise University Park under Odyssey Hospice care in Colorado Springs.
She will always be treasured as a devoted, generous mother and grandmother by her children and grandchildren, and as a warm-hearted, fun-loving friend by the people who knew her.
Ginger shared 59 years of marriage to Warren Jahnke, who preceded her in death, passed away four years earlier. Ginger was also preceded in death by her sister, Susie, and has a sister, Barbara, who lives in California.
She is survived by two children, David and Kathy, as well as 4 grand-children. David, wife Kari, and four children, Shane, Brandon, Laura Leigh, and Troy also reside in Colorado Springs. Kathy is married to Raymond Dhue and currently lives in Lakeland, Florida.
A private memorial was held at Memorial Gardens. Virginia Jahnke will remain instilled in our hearts forever, and we will all cherish the very special memories she has provided us with.
