Lydia Marie Higley Worthington passed away on Friday, June 13, 2008 at Silverado Assisted Living Center at Aspen Park in Millcreek Township, Utah of causes incident to age. She resided at 2211 East Sunnybrook Way (4000 South) in Holladay, Utah at the time of her death.
She was born in Shelley, Idaho to parents, John Glen Higley and Vera Ardella Rounds.
Marie graduated as Valedictorian of the Tooele High School Class of 1938. She always kept busy with artwork, cooking, and loving and devoted service to family, friends and church.
She married her eternal sweetheart, Max Hampton Worthington, in September 1938. They became the parents of four children, Ida Judith Worthington, Kristee Kay Worthington, Max Glen Worthington, and Susan Marie Worthington Johnson. She is also survived by her brother, Jimmy Mac Carson and sister, Harriett Carson Wilkinson. She is a proud grandparent of eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kristee Kay Worthington; her husband, Max; brothers, Miles and Armand; and step-father, Mac Carson.
Funeral Services will be held in the Valley View Eleventh Ward Chapel at 1925 East Gunderson Lane (4101 South) in Holladay, Utah on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary at 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East) in East Millcreek, Utah on Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and Tuesday at the Church one hour prior to the services.
