Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Eckles received word Thursday of the death of Clare Brown of Brewster, Kansas, which occurred at the hospital in Goodland, Kansas. Deceased had been ill for three and ahalf years having been afflicted with paralysis. The funeral was held at Brewster on Saturday. He leaves his wife, Freda, a son, I.N., and two daughters, Mrs. Joe Classi of Venice, California and Leslie at home. Mrs. Cassi (Classi) came to attend the funeral, and Mr. and Mrs. Eckles and their daughters Jean and Donna went down Friday to the funeral, returning Saturday. Clare was well known here, being the son of Mr. and Mrs. I.N. Brown who lived here a number of years ago.
