E. Marshall dies in home of daughter – Elvet William Marshall, 82, Harrisburg, AK dies at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lester (Edna) Meyers, Rudd. He had lived at Harrisburg from 1943 until three weeks ago.

Mr. Marshall was born August 26, 1877 in Indiana, son of John A. and Emily (Standiford) Marshall. He was married to Clara Alice Alma Hill in December 1905 at Paoli, IN.

They had lived at Wesley from 1918 until 1924 and in Mason City from 1921 to 1941 when they moved to Chicago. Following the death of his wife he moved to Harrisburg, AK. He was a retired Chicago Great Western Railroad mechanic.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Meyers and Mrs. Lon (Elsie) Bachtel, Brunswick, MO; two sisters, Alice Orendorff, Standford, IL, and Effie Green, Bedford, IN, and five grandchildren. Three half-sisters also survive, Alma Oberg, Wenier, Ak; Laura Ellzey, Harrisburg, AK and Lois Hinton, Desarc, AK. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1942 and by two sons.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Visitation is after 3pm Friday at the Patterson James Funeral Chapel.

Note ~ He also has another older sister: Lillian Frances Marshall (1871-1942). She married Thomas Harrop (1869-1919) in Illinois. They moved to Saskatchewan Canada and both died there. They had 7 children: 6 born in Illinois, 1 born in Saskatchewan. (Sent by Gail)
