Herbert T. "Moo" Whitman, 70, of Twin Oaks Nursing Home, Campbelltown, and formerly of Mt. Wilson, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, in his residence. Born Sept. 30, 1932, in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Harry E. and Gertrude A. Heinbach Whitman. He was retired from Gable Roofing and was an Air Force veteran. He was a social member of the Annville American Legion and was an avid golfer and hunter. Surviving are brothers Eugene, husband of Doris E. Whitman, and Larry, husband of Cynthia Whitman, both of Lebanon; sisters June G., wife of Donald Hollinger, and Gertrude J., wife of Ronald Firestone, both of Lebanon, Lillian, wife of Howard Lyndaker of Beaver Falls, N.Y., and Elaine L., wife of Woodrow Shearer of Galeton. He was preceded in death by long time companion Almeda Greene, brothers Harry Whitman and Donald Whitman, and sister Evelyn Fields. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Colebrook Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Colebrook. Rohland Funeral Home, Lebanon, is handling arrangements.
