Last Rites for Leo Corcoran
Leo T. Corcoran was born November 15, 1906 at Bradish, Nebraska the son of David and Catherine Lohoff Corcoran and died September 2, 1982 at the Genoa Hospital. He was the grandson of Wm. and Sarah Corcoran who homesteaded near St. Edward over a century ago.

He married Louise Bernhardt of Grand Island on May 1, 1940. They moved to St. Edward in 1942 where they have since resided. To this union were born two sons, Calvin of Scottsbluff and Paul of Washington, Illinois.

He and his sons enjoyed many seasons of go-cart racing at which they won numerous trophies. Also, in his later years, he was an avid fan of motorcycling and was a member of Nebraska Retreads.

He was a board member of the St. Edward Rural Fire District and for several years he served on the Boone Co. Weed District, Farm and Home Administrative Board and on the Boone County Extension Board.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 6, 1982 at the St. Edward Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Edward Gill officiating. Burial was in St. Edward Cemetery.
