Mrs. Jennie Loyed, who has been a resident of Okolona for the past twenty-five years, died Sunday afternoon at her home on South Gatlin street of heart failure. Mrs. Loyed, who was before her marriage Miss Jennie Priest, was born in Monroe county in 1847, and soon after her marriage came here to live. She was a good Christian, and had many friends who sincerely mourn her. A husband, son and daughter are left at the old home in sorrow. The remains were interred in Odd Fellows cemetery Monday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. Brogan.
