Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Kathy Bennett, and Barry and Jeanne Bennett, all of Kingston; three stepsons, Drew Parker Jr., John and Steve Parker, all of Greenfield; three stepdaughters, Mrs. George (Patricia) Garinger, Kathryn Wolffe and Marsha Parker, all of Greenfield; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; 18 step-grandchildren; 23 step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Willard, Yellowbud, Henry, Chillicothe and Harold Bennett, Frankfort; two sisters, Betty Crawford, Yellowbud, and Jeanette Norman, Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Bartlett Bennett; a son, Leonard T. Bennett Jr.; a daughter, Carolyn Williamson Johnson; three brothers, Albert, Robert and George Bennett; and one sister, Genieve Bennett.
Mr. Bennett retired in 1972, as a nursing assistant at the Chillicothe V.A. medical Center. He was a Army veteran of World War II, where he served in North Africa, Anzio and Sicily campaigns. He was a member of the Greenfield Bible Baptist Church, American Legion Post 62, V.F.W. Post 4736, DAV, NARFE Chapter 315, and the Ross County Committee for the Elderly.
Services were entrusted to Haller Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
