William F Baltzley, a well known resident of McKnightstown, died at 11:30 on Wednesday morning at his home after an illness of nine months, aged 68 years 1 month and 24 days,
Mr. Baltzley spent his early years near McKnightstown and vicinity where he was engaged in the carpenter trade. He was a veteran of the Civil War, a member of Co. K 87th Pennsylvania Infantry.
He leaves his wife and six children, Mrs. Charles Ditzler, of Bendersville; Lawrence, Emanuel, John, Robert and Miss Grace Baltzley, at home.
One brother and two sisters also survive; Samuel Baltzley, of near Orrtanna; Miss Elizabeth Baltzley, of Gettysburg; and Mrs. George Swope, living in the West.
Funeral on Friday morning, meeting at the house at 10:00. Services and interment at the Reformed church at McKnightstown.
