Daniel Webster Squier of North Clarendon died yesterday morning at his home after several month's illness. He was 82 years old. Mr. Squier is survived by two sons, W. H. Squier of Proctor and G. A. Squier of Clarendon, a brother Joseph Squier of Ira, and two sisters, Miss Clara Squier and Mrs. Martha Dunklee of Rutland.

Prayers will be said tomorrow at his late home. The funeral services will be held in the chapel at Evergreen cemetery at 1:30 o'clock in the afternoon, Rev. A.H. Bradford officiating.

Note: His father was Eleazar H. Squier who died 11-12-1896 in Rutland, son of Daniel Squier of Connecticut, a revolutionary soldier and pensioner who came to Vermont soon after the war. Daniel married Mary Harwood, daughter of Elder Harwood of Pittsford. They had 11 children, including Eleazar. Eleazar married Charity Hathaway of Rutland and five of their children were living as of Eleazar's date of death in 1896. They were Daniel W. Squier of North Clarendon, Joseph B. Squier of Rutland, Mrs. R. J. Eggleston of Stockbridge, Mrs. B.F. Dunklee of Rutland and Miss Clara J. Squier of Rutland.

Per another findagrave contributor, Daniel apparently was a Civil War Veteran:
1st Sgt.
2nd U.S.S.S., Co. E.
transferred to 4th Vermont Inf., Co. G.
