Bolt of Lightening Kills Red Oak Girl
RED OAK, June 21 -(Special)-
Musetta Yandell, 12-year-old daughter of Rev J E Yandell, prominent farmer and minister of Red Oak community, Latimer county, was killed instantly at the Yandell farm shortly after noon Friday when struck by a bolt of lightening. Her sister Jessie Lee Yandell, 13 years
old, was knocked unconscious by the shock but recovered. The girls were carrying a tub of water across the yard during the electrical storm when they were struck.

To try to cope with the loss, her family moved to California in 1929, returning a few yrs later. She is resting in the plot with her grandmother, mother, and siblings.
