Abraham Coslett was the son and only child of Alexander Coslet and Mary Ann (Shane) Coslet. (Abraham spelled his surname with two "t"s). Abraham's first wife, Harriet Turner, was 10 years older and his second wife, Mrs. Patsey Jane (Finnell) Reed was 20 years older than he was. He was the father of five children all by his first wife, only one who survived to maturity. The four infants are buried in Sugar Creek Cemetery, Brouiletts Creek Township, Edgar County, IL where he and both wives were married. His only surviving childr, Mary Ann Coslett, b. Mar. 24, 1864 in Brouiletts Creek Township, Edgar County, IL married (1) 1883 in Edgar County, IL to Daniel T. Hummrickhouse. They had no children and were divorced. She was married a second time Sep. 20, 1888 in Edgar County, IL to Jesse Jones and had one son, Charles Abraham Jones, who died at age 18. Mary Ann (Coslett) Jones died Dec. 17, 1914 in Vermilion County, IL, age 49. She and her son were also buried in Sugar Creek Cemetery.
