BRADY SHERWOOD JOSHUA 86 years of age, December 29, 2002 at his home in Walnut Creek. Josh grew up in southern California, graduating from Santa Ana Junior College. He continued his education at University of California, Berkeley, there meeting his wife, Doris Wynne. After graduation, Josh served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He and Doris then married and Josh went to Harvard, where he earned a Master's degree in mechanical engineering. He returned to the San Francisco Bay Area and spent the rest of his life here, the past 50 years in Walnut Creek. He taught at San Jose State and UC Berkeley and worked for many years at Lawrence livermore Labs and Kaiser Aluminum before embarking on a second career as an inventor. He and Doris traveled extensively in their later years until Doris passed away in 1996 after 51 years of marriage. Josh was a man of dream and focus, a charming raconteur and a strong spirit. he was well-loved by all who knew him and he will be remembered kindly. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Brady of Oakland, John Brady of Salzburg, Austria, Margaret Slaughter of Concord, Jason Brady of Burlingame and Thomas Brady of San Francisco, as well as eight grandchildren. Two memorial services are planned, both Saturday, January 11, 2003: The first will be held at 11:00 a.m. at The Waterford, Rossmore, 1860 Tice Creek Drive, Walnut Creek. The second will be held at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1924 Trinity Avenue, Walnut Creek.
