Last Sunday morning after preparing breakfast for the family, Mrs. Martha Anna Chubb, wife of J.H Chubb of this city died very suddenly. She had just left the table after partaking of a hearty meal, became dizzy, asked her husband for a drink of water, an while he was getting it heard her fall to the floor. He rushed to her, but with a gasp or two she expired.
Mrs. Chubb was 63 years of age, was formerly Miss Martha Braman, sister of Wm. Braman of neutral. She was the mother of six children, five sons and one daughter; Rolla Chubb, formerly connected with this paper was one of the son. Mrs. Chubb was of the motherly kind to all, and was loved and admired by all who knew her, and the husband and children have the sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement.
The funeral took place from the M E church Tuesday morning and was largely attended. The remains were laid to rest in the Baxter Cemetery.
