Final Rites Held For Jesse Raper

Funeral services were held at the Jacksboro Church of Christ Monday, 2 p.m., for Jesse Edward Raper, 72, who died Saturday at Jack County Hospital.

Bud Hales was the officiating minister and arrangements were with Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.

Jesse E. Raper was born May 26, 1897 in Jack County, the son of M. E. Raper and Essie Leatherwood Raper. He was married to Dona Lind Taylor Sept. 21, 1917 in Jack County. He had worked all his life as a groceryman.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Dona Raper of Jacksboro a daughter, Mrs. W. C. (Gladys) Duncan of Jacksboro; a granddaughter, Mrs. Ed (Darlene) Bonner of Jacksboro; and a great granddaughter, Melanie Bonner of Jacksboro; also a brother, Lester Raper of Jacksboro.
