Vera was first married to my grandfather William Henry Howard before 1942. He died on the 19th of October 1948. With him she had Kenneth, Gloria, Paul and James Howard. In 1950 she married Travis Eugene Sullivan and had Patricia Sullivan. My remembrance of my grandmother was of being a very petite woman (height under 5 ft) with a huge heart. She was always smiling and very kind. My grandfather stood 6 ft 9 inches. From photographs my grandfather towered over her but they looked very happy.
