Hiram Pool, 77, dies Tuesday

Hiram Isam Pool, 77, of Seymour, Mo., died Tuesday at the Medical Center at Springfield, Mo. His wife, Velsie Marie Pool, of Mountain Home, died March 4.

Mr. Pool was born Feb. 16, 1897 at Ava, Mo., the son of Hiram L. and Sarah Todd Pool. He was a farmer.

Funeral services for Mr. Pool will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Three Brothers Community Church with Rev. Jerry Strobel officiating. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Bill Dick, Jim Lee, Heryl Lee, Bob Lee, Mickey Pool and Melton Pool.

Survivors include three sons, Harold Pool of Mountain Home, and Monroe Pool and Floyd Pool of Seymour, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Lee of Ava, and Mrs. Opel Todd of Washington, D.C.; two stepsons, Clifford Rose and George Rose of Marshfield, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Betty Jo Ragsdale of Marshfield and Mrs. Velma Sisney of Mountain Home; one half brother; 43 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
