NEW ULM — Jacob "Jake" Forstner, 14, of New Ulm, died Monday, June 2, 2008 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm as a result of injuries he sustained in a ATV accident.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 6 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor Grant Bode officiating. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at church on Friday.

Jacob is survived by his parents, Mike and Joan Forstner of New Ulm; a sister, Jessica Forstner of New Ulm; grandparents, Myron and Shirley Forstner of New Ulm, Larry and Lois Seibel of New Ulm; a great-grandmother, Veronica Forstner of New Ulm; and by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank Forstner, Clarence and Marion Seibel, Leonard and Agnes Schaefer, Thomas and Elsie Stadick.

Jacob Myron Forstner was born March 30, 1994 in New Ulm to Mike and Joan (Seibel) Forstner. He attended New Ulm Public Schools and had just completed 8th grade. Jacob was baptized April 17, 1994 and was confirmed on March 16, 2008 both at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm. He loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiles, four wheelers, and just being in the outdoors. Jacob also played New Ulm Hockey and New Ulm Jr. Baseball.
