Former Citizen of Hickman
Dies at Dawson Springs

E. F. (Frank) Davis, until recently a citizen of this town, died at Dawson Springs Friday morning after a lingering illness of Bright's Disease. On account of ill health deceased went to the springs several months ago in the hope that he might improve. Neither the springs nor the best of medical treatment could stay the ravages of his affliction and death relieved him of his suffering Friday morning.
The remains were brought back to his old home for burial, and were laid to rest in the city cemetery.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife and three children; also four sisters – Mrs. Steve Stahr and Mrs. Avee Journey, of Hickman, Mrs. Wm. Stahr of Fancy Farm, Ky., and Mrs. Ida Green, of Ft. Smith, Ark. He also has a brother, Ralph Davis, at Porto Rico. All attended the funeral except Mrs.. Green and Ralph.
Deceased was born Oct. 10, 1872, and had resided at Hickman twenty-six years. For eight years he was engaged in the livery business in West Hickman. He was a member of the Sacred Heart church of this city, and funeral services were in charge of Father Mensa.
The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of thier many friends.
