VETA F. CLEMENTS
Veta F. Clements, 73 of Sugar Creek, died Saturday, May 15, 1999 at her home.
Mrs. Clements was born July 24, 1925 in Marceline, Missouri. She worked for Standard Oil and later co-owned and operated the Standard Sealcoat Co. for many years. She was a member of the River Boulevard Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 40 years, Robert Stanton in 1982.
Her survivors include her husband, Cletus Clements; a son, Melvin L. Stanton of Sugar Creek; four grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Stein of St. Joseph, and Clela "Sity" Sandridge of Sugar Creek; three nephews; two nieces; four great-nephews and three great-nieces.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at Mound Grove Cemetery under direction of the George C. Carson & Sons Independence Chapel.
