Alford M. Black was a retired school teacher. He was a farmer and rancher in the Abilene area until 1968 when he moved to Bellaire. He was a longtime member of the University Baptist Church in Abilene and a veteran of World War I. Survived by one son; one daughter; two sisters - Mrs. J.P. Ellis, Mrs. B. Wallace; four grandchildren.
