Mrs. Lovina Vader, 85, a lifelong resident of the Cass City area, died Thursday at Provincial House following a long illness. She was born in Akron township, daughter of the late Israel and Lydia Wideman Dettweiler.

She married Forrest Edwin Vader, Sept. 8, 1909, in Elmwood township. He died Jan. 17, 1962.

Mrs. Vader was one of the original and a lifelong member of the Colwood United Brethren In Christ Church.

She is survived by one son, Elden of Grand Rapids; one daughter, Mrs. Phillip (Lucille) Olsowy of Cass City; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and one sister. Mrs. Lloyd Wilson of Flushing.

Two sisters (Magdalena & Susanna) and one brother (Elden) preceded her in death, as well as 2 infant brothers (Albert & Elmer).

Funeral services were held Monday at Colwood United Brethren in Christ Church, with Rev. Paul Lehner, of the Harrison United Brethren in Christ Church, and Rev. Roger Burke, pastor of the Colwood church, officiating.
