Lucile Armstrong Olsen Sorenson, 92, of Ephraim, Utah, passed away June 3, 2008 at her home in Ephraim. She resided at 76 North 100 West in Ephraim, Utah at the time of her death.





She was the last born child of John C and Hilda Armstrong on June 8, 1915. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry; brothers, Armond, Curtis and Roger; and a sister, Sibyl A. Peterson. She married Spencer E. Olsen in Ephraim, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1981. She later married Morris E. Sorenson on June 16, 1984, in the Provo LDS Temple. He also preceded her in death on May 30, 2002. She and Morris served an LDS Mission to New Zealand and later to California. She was an active member of the LDS church and served in all auxiliaries at one time or another, but her great love was music, having served as organist and accompanist throughout her life. She gave willingly of compassionate services. Lucile loved life and was a happy person. She and Spencer built the Bright Spot in Manti where she taught many young people the ability to enjoy work and give service. She loved to travel and enjoyed the world in which she lived. She was active in family businesses throughout Sanpete County. Lucile also served on the Snow College Foundation Board.





She is survived by her children, Sibyl (Robert) Ireland, St. George; Dr. John (Paula) Olsen, Palm Springs, CA; Steve (Joyce) Olsen, Ephraim; Scott (Penny) Olsen, Mesquite, NV; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.





Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 12 Noon in the Ephraim LDS Stake Center, 400 East Center Street. Friends may call at the Stake Center on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Burial will be in the Ephraim City Cemetery.
