son of Peter and Catharina Carpenter Eakert

William had a favorite riding horse that happened to be kicked by a mule and was critically injured. William requested that a grave be dug for his horse by his son, Uriah. The grave was dug and the horse was buried at this cemetery. When William died his wish was granted to be buried by his horse. A tall monument was purchased, imported from Italy, and ercted at his grave. Subsequently, I found that when his wife Rebecca died she was buried with their children at Zeltenreich Cemetery.
